Satya YTT

Welcome to Yoga Studio Satya

Your Colorado Springs Yoga Studio!

Satya is a Sanskrit word for truth.  It is through our practice that we find the space to return to our true nature.  When we listen to the whispers of the heart, it guides us in the direction of joy and love.  We sometimes get lost in the distraction of expectation, fear and doubt, but when we step on the mat and return to breath, compassion and acceptance for all beings (including yourself), you allow your journey to unfold however it's supposed to as you return to your path - your truth. Our Satya instructors are passionate about sharing the teachings of yoga and helping to weave and blend philosophy, meditation and breath practices with real life experiences to help guide you safely on and off the mat.  Yoga is therapeutic and can be a sustainable, life-long practice to help support your mind, body & spirit.  At Satya, we encourage people to show up as they are, let yourself explore what your body is willing and able to do today and find gratitude in what is.  BE YOU! Yoga Studio Satya is a welcoming community for beginning and experienced yogis in Colorado Springs. We offer a variety of different yoga styles that are perfect for students of all skill levels, abilities and body types. Whether you're dealing with an injury or just feeling "not bendy", we have classes to support each individual's needs.  Our offerings include yoga wall, restorative, gentle yoga, vinyasa, pilates, and meditation. At Yoga Studio Satya, we encourage you to live your yoga on and off the mat! Call us today at (719) 203-4525

Discover Yoga's Physical, Emotional, and Spiritual Benefits

The word “yoga” means “union”, and refers to the spiritual union between the mind and the body. By controlling the breath and holding the body in steady poses or “asanas”, yoga creates harmony within the body. Asanas are specifically designed to sculpt the body, release muscular tension, and tone internal organs. By linking breath with movement, yoga strengthens the mind-body connection. Regular participants benefit from less stress and anxiety, a centered mind, and an enhanced sense of well being. Health benefits include lower blood pressure, increased strength and flexibility, better stress management, and long-term weight loss. Regular yoga practice at Yoga Studio Satya will cultivate mindfulness and presence for a healthier lifestyle. All skill levels are welcome at Yoga Studio Satya. If you are new to yoga, this is a great place to begin your practice in Colorado Springs. Bring your mat, an open mind, and a willingness to discover new possibilities. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move easily. Our experienced instructors provide assists and adjusts to support your practice, and help you create optimal alignment in each pose while staying safe. You are welcome to try any class at Yoga Studio Satya. We encourage you to do as much as you feel comfortable doing and know that you can take a rest in child’s pose or savasana at any time.

We encourage all yogis to move towards a mindful practice that balances the physicality and concentration of asanas with breath work (pranayama) and meditation. Whether you are new to yoga or have made it a part of your lifestyle for many years, we invite you to enter our studio with a beginner’s mind, and be open to the possibilities of your practice.

At Yoga Studio Satya, we practice the intention of yoga by treating everyone with respect and love. Our instructors have a diverse background in yogic philosophy, structural alignment, posture modifications, injury recovery & rehabilitation. We are passionate about helping students deepen their mind/body connection, detoxify their bodies, heal from past physical injuries and emotional trauma, and empower personal growth.

Meet Our Teachers

  • Amanda

I discovered yoga in 2005 and began teaching in 2009. After receiving a BA of Fine Arts from the Art Institute of Colorado in 2000, I worked as an interior designer in Colorado, Vermont and Hawaii. Having a touch of wanderlust, I left my life in Maui to travel in hopes of seeing the world and learning another language. I wound up in Switzerland as a nanny learning to speak Italian, eating amazing Italian cuisine and yet I felt disconnected from community and self. After returning home to Colorado I realized that yoga helped me feel a deeper connection to nature, community and my true self. My passion urged me loudly to become a certified yoga instructor and share this experience. Eager and ready to begin teaching I found my path looking a bit clouded after a car accident that turned into 4 years of rehabilitation, severe chronic pain and ultimately surgery. The journey to recovery can be long but with Yoga, Pilates and Meditation I reclaimed my health, strength and sense of wholeness. I am grateful to have experienced such challenges so that I am better equipped to help others create wellness and ease within themselves; body, mind and spirit.

  • Brittney

After my first yoga class, I immediately fell in love with the comfort & freedom of space on my mat. The curiosity grew by being upside down-(what a perspective!) then openly wanted to learn what this also had in store for me; self- exploration, community, passion & surrendering.
Yoga & conscious breath helped me dig deep into healing physical & emotional trauma and to me, it was magic. That led me to receive my Reiki 1 Certification & a passion for holistic healing.
I received my certification for children's yoga in 2014 when I
realized I wanted to teach. I now am enrolled in Satya's
YTT, where its full of wisdom and I continue to grow into the person I love!
I believe yoga is medicine in motion and feeds the soul.
I want to share and teach classes that get you out of your head and into your body. I am passionate about the value of pranayama, balance, organic movement & guided meditation.

  • Colten

  • David

I first came to yoga classes hoping to improve flexibility and balance as part of a journey to become more active later in life. I was surprised to find yoga accessible to all levels of fitness and flexibility and to discover that yoga reaches far beyond physical movement to improved breathing, focus, reflection and compassion. My yoga practice has helped to move beyond the self-imposed barriers of mind and body and find new possibilities. I have been helped by many patient and passionate instructors that have been willing to share, I hope to also share and learn with you as we practice together

  • Dusti Bosworth

Hello, my name is Dusti Bosworth and I am very excited to be joining the Wellness Center in the lower level of Yoga Studio Satya.
I am the owner/operator of Five Stones Holistic Health. I have been a licensed massage therapist for 13 years and Reiki Master for 11. I've held healing space for a diverse clientele and have a variety of techniques, experiences and certifications to draw from to customize a session just for you. My clients say I have an intuitive touch and execute intricate neck work they haven't found elsewhere.  I specialize in deep tissue, FEM (fertility enhancing massage) and prenatal massage. (I was a certified birth doula and childbirth educator for years.) But if you prefer myofascial, Swedish, energy work, sports, relaxation, resistance release, trigger point or reflexology, I've got you covered. If you like, I can guide you in a custom meditation to enhance your session. (I am also a yoga Nidra instructor.) My goalis to help you find balance during the ever changing seasons of life. I believe there is a strong connection between mind, body and soul. Prior to becoming a massage therapist, I earned a degree in psychology and spent 10 years working in the mental health field. I am a trauma informed massage therapist and would be honored to support you as you heal from the inside out. I have found relieving muscle tension can release emotional stressors and clearing chakras can make room for intuitive thoughts. The body and mind are integrated and self care is vital to all aspects of health. Speaking of health, I am a traditional herbalist and sell elderberry syrup and herbal tinctures to keep your immune system strong all winter long.

When I'm not in session with a client you can find me with my husband and 3 daughters enjoying the mountains, hiking the incline, training for a race or taking yet another class to feed my learning addiction. I'm always looking for additional ways to promote healing from within.

  • Heather

I am a Colorado native with a passion for holistic healing. A spine injury in 2013 set me on my path to yoga. I was dealing with debilitating pain and chronic sciatica in both of my legs. It was seriously impacting my quality of life and limiting my mobility. Conventional medicine offered opiates, steroids and surgery. None of which I considered to be an option for me. I knew there was a better way and I turned to yoga.Through yoga I was able to heal my sciatica and manage my back pain. Through yoga, I am able to soothe my mind and nurture my spirit. Through yoga, I grow. I am so grateful for the gift of yoga and for the incredible teachers I've been fortunate to learn from so far. Yoga has changed my life. It is so empowering to have the tools to create ease within the mind, body and spirit no matter what the situation. I intend to continue on this path for life, learning all I can about yoga and holistic healing so that I can share the knowledge with others, empowering them to cultivate wellness within themselves. My yoga journey led me to Yoga Studio Satya where I am currently attending the 200hr YTT program.

I am a CASA volunteer and love advocating for the children in my cases, a great opportunity to pay it forward. Finding Yoga has given me the opportunity to take a look at myself.

  • Kim

Kim M. Green, has been a dedicated bodyworker for over 20+ years. Kim has practiced and studied both professionally & independently with the internal/healing arts of Judo/Shiatsu, Somatic Trauma Release, Integrative Meridian Therapy, Structural Rehabilitation, Chinese/Japanese Medicine, Herbalism and Energetic Bodywork. She has decades of study in somatics, structure, cranial, lymphatics, Chapmans, fascia, TBI, disease, repetitive syndromes, somatic bodywork, trauma, PTSD, assault, rape and addiction. Through a diversity of trainings and learning from a traditional Judo Master her interest was peaked about eastern practices and yoga.

  • Kristal

I am Kristal and I have been practicing various styles of yoga for the past 20 years. As a former gymnast and dancer, yoga offered me the best way to connect my body and my spirit in ways that other forms of physical activity simply did not do and I could (and did) engage in practice wherever I found myself. As a KC-135 pilot in the Air Force, I was away from home more often than I was home, so yoga kept me grounded and at peace when my life was in constant chaos. In 2002, I suffered a catastrophic injury to my spine that ended my flying career and any chance at the normal means of staying healthy, so yoga became integral to my overall health as well as a means to rehabilitate my spine following attempted fusion at L5/S1.

  • Leah

Leah Wilson-Felis is a Colorado Native and began studying yoga and eastern philosophies at a young age with a private mentor, Kimberly Klein, who doubled as her ballet instructor. By age 17 she was certified and teaching yoga classes at a local yoga studio. Following high school in 2007, Leah began her studies in massage therapy at the Colorado Institute of Massage Therapy. She is an avid traveler, always searching for opportunity to expand her knowledge of healing modalities, open to new culture and self awareness.

  • Margaux

Heyo! I'm Margaux. I'm told that I'm an adorably awkward weirdo, an irreverent enigma, & a bit of a restless seeker. I rediscovered yoga in 2015 as an anxiety ridden college junior desperate for some semblance of peace. Little did I know that the practice would open my eyes & open my heart to whole new way of being.Yoga gives me the opportunity to regularly practice kindness & self-compassion both on & off my mat. It reminds me to find & connect with my breath, my spirit & remember who I really am. Yoga has guided me through some of the most difficult times in my life, helping me to see the world from different perspectives & allowing me to keep a childlike sense of wonder about how truly miraculous this life is. My practice inspires me to play freely, to laugh gleefully, & to embrace this experience fully, & I live for getting to share what I learn on the mat with other curious seekers.

  • Melissa

I first stepped on the mat in 2002 and instantly was enamored with Yoga. I had no idea at that moment how much the practice of yoga would guide and change my life. For several years I practiced off and on when I could “fit it in.” But in 2005, after being hospitalized twice, I found myself broken both physically and emotionally. It was then yoga serendipitously came back into my life. Living in a military town with little to no yoga community, I found a small studio that had just opened and it was there that my yoga journey really began. Over the next couple of years yoga became my sanctuary. I gradually healed through community and practice, embracing the power of asana, meditation, and breath work. It was the practice of yoga that helped me learn to live and cope with a debilitating disease. I did teacher training to take my practice deeper, but along the way realized I wanted to share yoga with others, to empower them to heal, find comfort, and know the tools to really live and be well are within each of us. I’ve now been teaching yoga since 2010. I’m E-RYT 200 Hatha certified with additional training in Yin, Restorative, Therapeutics, Adaptive, Wall & Alignment based yoga. Although initially trained in vinyasa I like to incorporate many styles to meet the needs of my students. I moved to Colorado Springs in 2016 and have been blessed to continue my yoga journey in this beautiful state.

I was 11ish when we moved to Germany, where I was given the opportunity to dive into a new culture, languages & adventures. My passion for Yoga was ignited by an inspiring fitness instructor I used to train with as a teenager.
